The job: NEXT - flowers/plant shoot – catalogue & web.

Location: The Old Rectory, Caythorpe, Lincolnshire. (Organised by Richard at film-location)

With a 9am start I made my way from my home town of Leicester to the location of the shoot in Lincolnshire. Blessed with a gorgeous day we set to work. With the responsibility of assisting Clive, involving holding reflectors to aid with light placement, which was vital in capturing the flowers and plants in the most attractive way. This proved quite tricky at times as the sun was so intense however this was also an advantage when reflecting light into a shaded area on particular shots. At one point it did look as though we were all on a movie set with the amount of diffusers and reflectors surrounding us J In the afternoon we went on to shoot inside the house.

Throughout the day, organisation, initiative and forward thinking was essential as we were working to a deadline to complete the shoot. The day was enjoyable and fulfilling working alongside Clive & Richard, stylist: Jacky Hobbs, IT tech: Stephen Johnson and the team from NEXT head office.
