Sat 21st August, 2010 @ 1:00pm by Laura Mossop

Diana Shepherd's Empty Shops Exhibition.

The final show of Diana Shepherds work, a project showing her journey between her studio's in Derby and Long Eaton.

This project is part of Derby city council's Empty Shop project where local artists are given a shop in the city centre to do what they want with. Diana Set out to show how an artist can improve by simple drawing constantly, creating her artwork along wallpaper stretching along the shop ( and its a loong shop! Her sites in the old clothes shop Ark on Saddler Gate which was a lot longer then most old customers realised!). She set up a second piece on the opposite wall for members of the public to try their hand at drawing from her photo's.

The project was a great success and now to celebrate Diana's having her Final Exhibition to show off her hard work. With live performances from a blues poet and singer and live art from local artists it will be an entertaining afternoon for everyone that comes along!
