Carol Leeming was born and raised in Leicester and also Kingston Jamaica . She is an Apples & Snakes Poet, performing widely and with some online publishing . She writes drama for radio broadcast, stage and some journalism . She has taught poetry and radio drama, she is currently working on The Loneliness of the Long Distance Diva a choreopoem (poetic monologue, physical theatre & music) that is selected for the Leicester and East Midlands Cultural Olympiad programme- world premiere due at the Peepul Centre on 2nd October 2010

They caress

Stubborn,

Emotional stalagamites

Weeping pus

Into his well gritted eyes
