Flag down the "Whispers" rickshaw when you see it for a truly inspiring 5 minute ride. Starting with a game of chance your experience will be unique to you and is totally free! As you spin through the city streets, put on your headphones and immerse yourself in a world where secret pockets hide intriguing objects and let yourself contemplate the nature of journeys and destiny.

Classical Chinese music, low-fi electronica, new technology and story telling all intermingle to create a philosophical ride inspired by visits to China, true stories and oriental philosophy.

Metro-boulot-dodo are one of the UK's leading arts organisations and “Whispers From a Rickshaw” is an intimate experience that asks the essential question: Where are you going?

Stunning audio has been created by METRO-BOULOT-DODO in collaboration with Steve Gibbs and classically trained Chinese musician Ling Peng. Beautiful visuals have been created by artists Steve Bridgeman and Tasha Xhei Li Whittle, making this Chinese themed rickshaw truly unique.

Whispers From a Rickshaw was funded by Igniting Ambition, the European Development Fund and Legacy Trust UK, Arts Council England and the PRS Foundation with additional support from the Cultural Activity Partnership Scheme, Leicester City Council. The project has also been recognised as part of the London 2012 Inspire programme.
