I am personally enjoying very much the music arts scene in Lesta in particular Burlesque cabaret and gypsy music having discovered to really good Gypsy band in our fair city. My own performance in the persona of 'Madame Ferallina' styled on decadent burlesque cabaret chanteuses of Berlin and Paris of the1930's but with definite modern attitude and song reperoire. I am excited also about the fantastic response to the We are Lesta campaign, the first part of which have been a series of articles, I have written in fd2d magazine which has now kicked off a fantastic face book page. Just to let you know this campaign is to big up the creative heads and talent in Leicester, the whole 'enchilada' of fresh creativity that is bubbling around right now. The wildly successful Imaginarium & Poetry Brothel Leicester Launch Party for the Leicester Comedy Festival - attracted a huge big animated crowd that demonstrated an an enthusiastic appetite for romantic gypsy music, and searing burelsue style cabaret singing . This exceeded even my own expectations that this would catch on - More more I say !!
