DMU Footlights is De Montfort University's very own comedy society, winning the Colours 'Society of the Year' award in 2011. Starting in January 2010, the society has had amazing success in such little time; numerous sold out events at De Montfort Student Union, a competition final at Leicester's Highlight, a Leicester Comedy Festival show in 2011 where our winners of the competition supported Jeff Leach, and a month-run at the world renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival in a Just the Tonic venue. Entering their second year, with another show in Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival and plans for another run at Fringe, it's going to be another amazing year for DMU Footlights!
