About Street and Break Dance

At Uni of Leicester Street and Break dance we’re all about having fun, and if you’ve come to find this page then, no doubt, you are too. Our society is a great way to keep fit, have fun and make plenty of like-minded friends.

Street dance lessons are from 6-7pm on Mondays.

Break dance lessons are from 6.30-7.30pm on Tuesdays, with a FREE jamming session from 5.30pm for those who want to come and practise their moves with friends.

Lessons are held in the Concourse in the Percy Gee building (the SU).

Membership is £5 for the year. Lessons are £2 for members (or £6 for 4 lessons in a row) and £2.50 for non-members.

UOL Street and Break Dance Society organised the DANCE SHOWDOWN event to showcase some of Leicester's best dance crews and to raise money for the charity 'danceaid'. The show was held in Unversity of Leicester's O2 academy from 7pm, and over 300 people attended. BBoys Rob and SuperCed from Crips Cuts Leicester hosted the show, with DJ Jonathan Campbell busting out the tunes for the night. Judges were David Gingell from Midland's Best Dance Crew 2010 Addict; Rebecca Keohane from Influence, and Dan Lamoon from FD2D.
